Intended Routes and Resources...
This year Raianne Richards, Mark Mandeville, Paul Gandy and Matt Fox intend to hike to the Massachusetts Midstate Trail and perform in the communties along the way. Our scheduled performances and informationa bout the tour can be found at www.masswalkingtour.org In some instances, due to the trail not entering the central parts of these towns, we will have to veer off or follow different paths to get to our scheduled performances. We are utilizing Google Maps, Hiking Massachusetts by Benjamin B. Ames, and A Thru-hiker's Guide to the Massachusetts Midstate Trail by "Nameless Mike" Benedetti. The thru-hikers guide was published through Creative commons Liscensing and is available online at: http://www.ugcs.org/~benedett/hikes/mmt/pdf/ There are also guides available from the Midstate Trail Association at: http://www.midstatetrail.org/Guide%20Form.htm |

Janet Malser Trust Humanities Trust awards support for 2011 Walk
As quoted from the website for the Janet Malser Trust
"Janet was a gifted artist and musician with many wonderful contributions to the community. For more than thirty years, she donated her considerable skill as an organist to the First Congregational Church of Dudley. At age 90, just a week before her death, she played the organ for the church and for the 275th Anniversary Celebration of the town of Dudley.
The Janet Malser Humanities Trust serves as an enduring legacy for the tri-town community and to the talented and caring woman who created it."
This grant will support; the first performance in Webster, MA, allow all of the performances to be offered free to the public, an advertising budget for an ad on WSRS, and the creation and production of our beautiful hand drawn poster by Dan Blakeslee.
We are honored by this support from the trust.
